Another win for Aksel Lund Svindal

In the super G of Lake Louise on Sunday, Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal won his second race of the season and demonstrated one more time why he is the defending Overall World Cup champion.

Hudec again in the top ten
Svindal won ahead of his big rival Benjamin Raich and Didier Cuche (SUI), the defending downhill World Cup champion. Svindal took over the Overall World Cup lead with 234 points ahead of Raich. In the super G on Sunday, Andrej Jerman showed again his potential and finished in 4th position ahead of Erik Guay of Canada. The winner of the downhill on Saturday, Jan Hudec, came in 8th and confirmed his strong form.

Maier behind
Some of the big names in the alpine World Cup had another tough day, as Hermann Maier finished far back in 16th position and Bode Miller was only 25th. Michael Walchhofer came in as 26th.

The alpine men now travel to Beaver Creek where they race four races in four days.
