Stunning floral artistry and fascinating floats accompanied by hot rhythms and vivacious samba
dancers from the Rio Carnival – that is the 43rd Seefeld Flower Parade on 7 August. Under the motto
“Festa do Brasil”, the long-standing tradition of the parade and the South Americans’ zest for life will
be coming together to create a unique event. Visitors can once again enjoy a fantastic procession of
original fire engines from days gone by, lovingly polished vintage cars, magnificent vintage tractors
and, of course, numerous floats beautifully decorated with an opulent display of flowers. Following
the parade, and in keeping with this year’s theme, a Rio Carnival Show will be performed in the
village square with samba, dancing and capoeira acrobatics!
Since many years this mega event is one of the most popular summer highlights.
Thousands of visitors are expected for this traditional flower festival when a parade of
polished Oldtimers, tractors and old fire brigade vehicles all of them opulently decorated with
flowers will slowly drive trough Seefeld’s pedestrian zone, headed by musicians in traditional
costumes of Seefeld’s brass band. A jury of VIPs and visitors nominate together the winner of
the year and win attractive prices.
