Atomic Backland 78 UL (Backcountry Touring Ski 2019/2020)

Product Summary

The Atomic Backland 78 UL is the perfect tool during both downhill rides and steep ascents. Thanks to its low weight, the ski is easy to master even on longer trips. The Atomic Backland 78 UL's full retail price is €699.99. The Ski costs roughly €90 more than the average price of all Backcountry Touring Skis, making it an upper mid-range model. Skilled skiers will enjoy both relaxed cruising and pushing the ski to its limit. The Backland 78 UL is a more off-piste oriented ski which rides great in deep powder. Thanks to its versatility however, it is also fun on groomers from time to time. Available lengths for the ski are ranging between 151 and 175cm.

The ski in details

Atomic Backland 78 UL is the ideal lightweight all-round ski for endurance and mountaineering touring. It gives you the World Cup proven construction of our ski-running UL 65 in a 75 mid-waist ski. The All Mountain rocker makes skiing through chop and crud so much easier, while the Ultra Light Woodcore and carbon inserts keep it super light for climbing. The cut-out notch in the tips also makes fixing our prefit skins quickly and easy.
