      More than meats the eye!

Tignes offers families many special family-features! However the large size of the resort is a bit of a disadvantage as parents need to always keep an eye on their children. But in the face of all the family- treats in Tignes, any disadvantage is certainly minor. There are for instance free practicing lifts located at nearly all bases where kids can learn at least the skiing basics without straining the parents’ wallet. Several kids-parks in Val Claret and Le Lac will make the family vacation in Tignes unforgettable and fun even for the youngest family members. And parents will notice that it’s a lot easier to teach small children how to ski in designated kids-parks where the surrounding is very child-friendly. The area at l’Aguille Percée right above Tignes Le Lac is the largest interconnected area with predominantly easy terrain and thus especially recommendable for families with children who have already mastered “first steps” on skis. To tap the whole potential of the ski resort however an intermediate skiing level is most recommendable as Tignes features a dazzling array of slopes to explore.
