- The vertical drop from summit to base is 230 ft. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Germany is 702 ft. Runs and slopes are therefore relatively short. The highest point of the track is 2986 ft above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 12 " at summit elevation and 12 " at the base.
For economic reasons, the ski lift is currently not operated. The district has decided to shut down the lift as the owner. Exception: There is a new private owner.
The Ski Resort
In the skiing area Philippsreut in the municipality Philippsreut you can ski and snowboard on a 1 km long, blue marked slope. The small ski area with the Hausörter lift as the only lift is particularly suitable for beginners to learn skiing and snowboarding.
If you already feel a little safer on the piste, you can continue your skiing day in the Mitterdorf ski area, only 5 kilometres away. There you will find a much larger selection of slopes.
Coming from Passau follow the B12 to the main road in Philippsreut. Turn left onto the main road and continue to the ski lift.
From Deggendorf take the A3 to exit 114-Aicha vorm Wald. Follow the road to Hutthurm and then take the B12. Follow it until you reach the main road in Philippsreut, turn left and you will reach the ski lift.
