ZE CROSS New
A genuine Ze Forest-style boardercross on the Méphisto run. Fun route comprising moguls and banked turns.

ZE BALAKEN
A veritable family zone covering the entire Opale green run; a fun course to enjoy in the company of Balaken the octopus and his friends the Tootizz.
Access: Gérats chairlift

ZE FOREST
Dark spirits have awakened the age-old natural environment sleeping beneath the Diable run. Will you manage to avoid the traps it has set for you?
Ride over the Super Natural modules in Ze Forest zone. It features a mix of black country and snowpark.
The routes criss-cross, giving you the chance to take a new path as you continue down the run.

Freeride

The mountains provide total freedom, and freeride offers much sought after thrills and sensations. Le Grand Massif ski area is an immense playground for freeriders.

There are many freeride spots, but they can be dangerous if you don’t know the area like the back of your hand. For your safety, we recommend you use the services of one of the resorts professional guides or instructors, who will help you discover the most beautiful locations. Equipment recommended: shovel/probe/ARVA avalanche receiver.

 

The semicircular Combe de Gers offers a great offpiste location for freeriders who love steep slopes, thrills
and spills. 800 metres difference in altitude, a North facing orientation and fresh high quality snow!
Pure bliss! Just like the descent of the “Lindars” and “Véret” area!

 

Fun ski lessons for children

Flaine is home to 2 ski schools which feature Kid’s Clubs, as well as independents ski instructors who specialises in teaching children.
They welcome your little ones from the age of 2 ½ - 3 years to learn to ski in a fun way.
Children discover snowsports in a happy, relaxed way.

Must-Ski Runs

Les Cascades run

Just imagine: ski down 14 kilometres of blue run on the edge of the Sixt-fer-à-Cheval nature reserve without seeing a single ski lift!
The run starts from Les Grandes Platières and ends at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, where a free shuttlebus takes you to the Grand Massif Express in Samoëns. A Grand Massif ski pass is compulsory.

Exceptional snow conditions

Flaine’s natural snow cover allows for a long winter season, ensuring top quality snowsports throughout.
218 snow cannons provide additional snow cover where needed on the ski area, ensuring maximal  «skiability» throughout the season.

Getting here

Its close proximity to Geneva airport, Cluse and Geneva’s TGV train stations and the A40 motorway make it an easily accessible winter sports destination.
Located between altitudes of 1,600 metres and 2,500 metres, Flaine is the highest resort in the Grand Massif ski area. It is bordered by the Portes du Soleil ski area to the North, les Aravis ski area to the West and le Pays du Mont-Blanc to the South.

By road

Follow the A40 motorway towards Geneva/Chamonix, and come off at exit n° 19: Cluses Centre.
Flaine is signposted from here: turn right onto the N205 (towards Sallanches) for 2 km, then take the first on your left at the roundabout (D106 towards Flaine/Les Carroz).
When you get to this point, you’re only 30 minutes from Flaine.

By air

The resort is easily accessible from all over France and Europe from Geneva airport (70km).
Regular shuttlebuses run between Geneva and Flaine throughout the winter season.

By rail

The nearest TGV high speed train stations to Flaine are Cluses (30 km) and Geneva (70 km).
Buss connections, taxis and other transport options are available from the stations.

We recently spent a week in Flaine, renting an apartment through the HOME INTERNATIONAL agency. The service was appalling!!! First they gave us only 1 key for 5 people. The key didn\'t fit. We went...
