The "mekka" of alpine skiing offers fantastic snow conditions, diverse slopes in all difficulty levels and cosy ski huts. The "Golden Gate to the Glacier" connects the Giggijoch and the glaciers. A new highlight is the tunnel at 3.000 m, which connects Rettenbach glacier and Tiefenbach glacier. All slopes below 2.200 m are provided with snow machines - you can reach the valley with skis until spring! From the hotel it´s only a 5 Minute walk to the ski lifts and the ski resort Sölden. Other winter sports are available as well! Beautiful, wide cross-country skiing slopes are available in the surroundings of Sölden. You can take the free cross-country skiing bus to go there. The Ötztal is a real ski tour paradise. Numerous ski tour classics lead the the mighty peaks of the Ötztal alps and offer impressive views. Lots of fun for tall and small! Go on a fun toboggan ride in the evening. Try the illuminated toboggan run in Sölden - after a brief stop at a cosy mountain hut. Furthermore, you have the possibility to be pulled to the start by a skidoo!
