The Cross-Country Area

In the Alpe d'Huez cross-country skiing area, around 50 kilometres of trails await you. The five perfectly groomed circular trails are designed for both classic and skating styles. The trails are between 6 and 16 kilometres long and belong to the easy to medium difficulty category.

On the Boucle de Brandes, you will pass the Altiport and the medieval castle and enjoy the magnificent view of the Sarenne Gorge valley. This is the route of the Huez circuit. Due to its shady location, it can get quite cold on this trail. The two circuits Boucle de Poutran and Boucle des Lacs can be easily combined.

If you don't have your own cross-country skiing equipment, you can rent everything you need on site. The ESF ski school offers cross-country courses and even has a biathlon arena with a laser shooting range.
